2010 Texas State Poet Laureate Karla K. Morton hit the road September 17, 2009 as she launched her Little Town, Texas Tour across the state to serve as an ambassador of poetry. The first stop was Morton's alma mater, Mansfield High School followed by some time spent with students at Timberview High School. She met with students in each school's library to read and talk about poetry as well as the creative writing process.
